Our company

Heartpoint is your life, career and professional coach, mentor and advisor. We exist to support you in getting from where you are today to where you want to be. We have navigated the corporate environment for centuries predominantly in security, risk management, resilience and insurance roles, and this at the most senior levels. With Heartpoint we want to support industry professionals who are either entering, progressing and at the very peak of their careers. 

Value for money is key to that process and we therefore bring a personalized approach to your development, tailoring advice and strategies to your specific needs and aspirations. We offer you structure, direction, a helping hand, and accountability which fosters progress, self-believe and self-awareness. Beyond mere instruction, we provide emotional encouragement and motivation. We act as a sounding board for your ideas, fears, and aspirations, creating a safe space for reflection and self-discovery.

We offer you life, career and professional support such as coaching, mentoring and corporate security advisory. Our aim is to become the trusted advisor of our clients by ensuring that they thrive and succeed in their careers. Our client’s range across managers and specialist, and across public and private sectors. Some are experienced while others are clients in their career progression. They come to us with aspirations of wanting something more or something different in life. Most of them have come to realize that a coach or a mentor is not merely something athletes use to win medals but also something used among business professionals. We offer to guide or help them in navigating corporate politics, preparing business strategies and forecasts, assess operational risks, hire new talent, being promoted or pursuing new career paths elsewhere. 

The relationship between you and us should be dynamic, promoting a two-way exchange of ideas and experiences. This not only accelerates your learning but also fosters a sense of accountability. Knowing that someone is invested in your growth encourages you to stay committed to your goals and strive for excellence. The cadence of interactions depend on you, from multiple sessions per month to monthly check-ins to ensure progression, alignment and success.

Career Coaching

Why Coaching?

Coaching is about us supporting you in our change and transformation journey. We use a 6-step process to get you from where you are today to where you want to be. We spend time clarifying your career goals, identify strengths and weaknesses, develop a personalized career plan, and receive guidance and support to navigate career transitions, enhance job performance, and achieve their professional objectives. Were needed we use various personal tests to understand progress and make the journey as tangible as possible for you.

The process

Our 6 steps are:

  1. What are you looking to achieve?
  2. What does it take to get there?
  3. Are you ready for that?
  4. Creating the plan for success
  5. Activating the plan
  6. Monitoring progress and realigning if needed.

A "normal coaching process" consist of two conversations per month. In between these sessions, you will be working on exploring opportunities, thoughts, and ideas. Such could include what it is that other people in a desired role might have, what training they have, etc. Change does not come over night and a coaching engagement can therefore take anywhere between 3 to 12 months. Sessions are between 45 min and 1 hour.  


Mentoring

Why Mentoring

We provide you with guidance, support, and advice how to navigate your life or career path achieving professional or personal goals. We help you explore what it is that is holding you back, what it will take to change or continue your current progress and performance. We are you sounding board and advisor, helping you reflect on decisions, thoughts, and status-que.

The guidance we provide you aim to contribute to your overall life and career satisfaction. We help you explore and define realistic expectations and find fulfillment in your chosen path.

We can provide support and encouragement to boost your confidence, empowering you to take on challenges and pursue ambitious career goals.

The process
The contract between us is one of confidentiality. We must trust each-other to ensure that you get value for money along your journey with us. Where coaching is a step-by-step process, mentoring is more around conversations where we talk, reflect, explore, reflect and talk. This loop continues each time we speak and interact.

We speak one or two times per month twice a month and sessions are between 45 min to 1 hour.

Personal Development

You are a in a transition right now – perhaps moving from one job to another. Maybe this has been a desire for a very long time, that something had to change…. your journey is about to start but what now… Being doubtful around change is normal and so is a feeling of loneliness if you are taking your change journey alone. Being honest about doubt or desire can be difficult and make us feel vulnerable and this is where we can help and support you by creating a safe space for failure, reflection, and development.

Neuroscience shows us that having emotional intelligence is the strongest strategic tool that we have. Emotional intelligence can be explained by the amount of self-awareness that we own. Knowing yourself, means knowing your strengths and knowing your weakness. We help and guide you towards your self-awareness by creating a deep grounded understanding for you so that you are authentic to yourself and your surroundings.

The process
During our sessions we are going to talk about the importance of emotional intelligence and the benefit of being able to regulate yourself. Changing the environment and the title is not everything. We need to have a smart and healthy mindset to work, learn and grow from. Sessions are normally 45 min to 1 hour.

Community Fireside Chats

Attending fireside chats can be a transformative experience for individuals looking to advance their careers. Our online gatherings, often featuring industry leaders sharing their insights and experiences, providing a unique platform for learning and networking. Unlike larger conferences, the informal setting of a fireside chat encourages open dialogue, allowing attendees to engage directly with speakers and ask questions that are pertinent to their career aspirations. This direct interaction can lead to valuable advice, mentorship opportunities, and even collaborations that might not have been possible in more formal settings.

Moreover, fireside chats offer attendees a chance to connect with like-minded professionals who share similar interests and career goals. Louise Emilie Vestergaard

Mentor

Louise is educated in Relation - and Competence Leadership from Black Bird institute with a specialty in focusing on and in changing personal relations, whether for work or private life and toward one self. 

She has worked directly for the owner and Founders of companies such as BESTSELLER, NETCOMANY and LUNAR BANK, in the family office of LEGO (KIRKBI). Being a close soundboard to the life of an CEO, she has learned that being intelligent, knowing your professional and technical skills is nothing without also being smart on emotional intelligence.

Mikael Balslev Rasmussen

Coach and Mentor

Mikael is a certified Career Coach from Center for Executive Coaching. Has spend more than two decades in public, private and corporate security. The past 15 years have been spend in Boards, Advisory Boards and Executive positions in non-profit, mid- and large-size enterprises such as Sky News, BESTSELLER, A.P. Moller-Maersk, and Guardian-SRM. His background is Security and Logistics, he holds a Masters Degree in Criminology and Security Risk Management. 


Mikael has been Vice-Chairman of the ASIS International Board in Denmark and UN Denmark SAFD Advisory as well as being Advisor to start-ups in Scandinavia and the Middle East, while currently part of the Advisory Board of Influencer Security. He has worked as a coach and mentor for years with a specific interest in performance management and consolidating tangible change.

 
Christian Wegner Bertelsen

Coach and Mentor

Christian is a certified Life Coach from Sophia Manning Coaching. He is the Managing Director of an IT company, he holds an MBA and is a certified life coach from Sofia Manning Coaching. With two decades of experience from first the armed forces as an Army Officer, then as a VIP protection officer at Control Risks and later as a business owner and consultant in transformation and strategy Christian is able to benefit clients with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Bruno Kalhoj

Mentor

Bruno is a seasoned leader with a varied background, from serving as an Air Force officer and UN Peacekeeper to holding prominent roles within organizations like the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maersk Oil, the European Central Bank, and currently EY. He has an impressive international footprint with experience spanning across approximately 40 countries.

Bruno has also founded an NGO and served on the Board of SAAB Denmark. Characterized by an unwavering passion for leadership and personal development, Bruno has been invited to conferences and CEO networks as a keynote speaker on these subjects. His thought leadership in these areas has earned him front-page features on Denmark's two largest business newspapers. Over the last 15 years, Bruno also has been a mentor, nurturing talent within his organizations and extending his impact through the EY Ripples program.
